Amidst the boredom of lockdown,
The lazy, unhurried afternoons,
When life came to a standstill,
I saw travel plans drown.
When Monday looked like Sunday
The hour hand refused to budge,
My serotonin started dropping
As all started to look fudged.
“Help me build this car dad?”
So, we set on the quest
Of building the Lego set,
Slowly but steadily,
I saw My excitement levels rise
As we spurred on our engines,
I was in for a surprise.
A trip to the beach
didn’t seem far from real
I enjoyed as much as my 5-yr old
Got the message loud, clear and bold,
Vicarious experiences can be just as fun,
For with a pinch of imagination,
The adventure has just begun.
